Q: Why is the international labour organization a tripartite body ?

Ans: An international labour organization is a tripartite body because it comprises of government,  labour and employer. 
 
The ratio of Government: Worker: Employer's delegate representative is 2: 1: 1.
International labour organization is formed in 1919 and there are 187 countries in international labour organization.
